Sharon Grady
Sharon Grady is a Consultant for Triad Consulting and helps executives and senior teams develop the collaboration and communication skills that determine their success as leaders. Her particular expertise lies in helping clients create value through more effective communication and handling of conflict.
Sharon has worked with a variety of clients including Ford, Merck, IBM, DuPont, Sears, Royal Bank of Canada, US West, MIT, Harvard Business School, American Express, Amgen, Wachovia Bank, Consolidated Freightways, Sylvania Mexico, Omni Hotels, Tufts Healthcare, and McKesson. She provides executive coaching, team interventions, and corporate education.
Sharon began her consulting career at Mercer Management Consulting in Boston. At Mercer, she trained client teams in TQM and process reengineering, and then coached them through the redesign of business processes such as in-bound call handling, equipment repair, and billing.
Sharon’s work with client teams increased her appreciation of communication’s impact on business outcomes, and led her to found The Grady Company, a consulting firm serving the communication needs of clients involved in major change. Under Sharon’s leadership, The Grady Company led an international financial institution through the communication challenges of a merger; guided the senior team of a global communications firm through the creation of a compelling corporate vision, and created $69 million in revenue opportunity for an international retailer by coaching a client team through the redesign of internal communication flows.
Sharon has also served as Chief Operating Officer of Interaction Associates (IA), a global provider of collaboration consulting and leadership education. She directed the development of IA’s first on-line training offering and designed the firm’s first offerings in collaborative process design.
A frequent guest lecturer and speaker, Sharon has addressed audiences at Harvard Business School, Tufts University, The Conference Board, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. She is an active member of the HBS Network of Women Alumni, and past chair of the Network’s Entrepreneurial Forum. She is also a past board member of A Better Chance, a non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities to students of color.
