Peter Hiddema
Peter is a consultant with Triad Consulting Group. He is an expert on negotiation, conflict management, and collaborative relationship management.
In the private sector, he works predominately with Fortune 500 global companies. Among them are firms such as Toyota, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Royal Bank of Canada, Sodexo, Mastercard International, and Bombardier. The nature of his engagements have been wide-ranging, including advising CEO’s on high-stakes negotiations, leading culture-change initiatives, helping parties in dispute repair their relationships, and assisting managers and executives of all levels improve their skills in the domains cited above.
In addition to his work with global corporations, he has worked with a range of other organizations and entities, including government departments in Canada and the US, First Nations groups in Canada, the World Health Organization, and various international NGO’s. Peter has lectured at several educational institutions including Queen’s University (Canada and the UK), HEC at L’Université de Montréal, Harvard University, and INSEAD (France and Singapore).
Peter began his career as an Investment Associate with a Canadian-based investment firm. After completing his MBA, Peter practiced institutional and corporate banking with Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto, Canada, and London, England. He speaks 4 languages and has lived on 4 continents – experiences which have offered him many opportunities to practice his conflict management skills.
